Looking for a good piano teacher in Conway, someone ideally who works out of his/her home, who can help me learn a complicated Chopin peice and that's it. I took piano growing up and have since then been self taught and accomplished a lot through piano, but this particular Chopin piece I'm having trouble getting the rhythm down (it's triplets in the left hand and 16th notes in the right). I'd imagine I'd only see the person for about a month, as I have the hands down separately and I can play all the parts of the piece that don't involve the weird rhythm. I'd rather not go through UCA to find a teacher. Anyone have any recommendations?
I know a lot of people from the Conway area are helping with the tornado clean-up effort.
Atkins Chronicle attempts to save photos, papers
Ginnie Tyson, co-publisher of The Atkins Chronicle
, whose community was especially hard hit during last week’s outbreak of killer tornadoes, has offered to help collect photos and papers people might find in storm debris.
“People can come see if we have any of their snapshots,” said Tyson. For more information about the efforts to save personal snapshots and papers contact Tyson at 479.641.7161.
I am looking for environmentally friendly products that will also be gentle on the kid's sensative skin. I'd like a nice smell but that is really secondary.
Seriously. This cute lil' dog
needs a home! My sister-in-law found him injured on the road by her gate, rescued him and got him medical care, but now he needs a good Forever Home. We've run ads in the Log Cabin Democrat but the original owner has not stepped up. Contact information is in the link, or if you comment I can put you in touch. Location is south of Conway in the Pine Village area.

Does anyone here know of a good venue/event for a band to seek to get booked in Conway? My husband has a pretty successful band called The OneUps and they're looking to get booked in either Conway or Little Rock for a change of scenery (they usually play in Fayetteville). Thanks in advance for any replies.
Let's hear it for the traffic circle at the intersection of Washington, Tyler, & Winfield. I heard that the company that is consulting with Hendrix has suggested one at the intersection of Harkrider and Siebenmorgan/Markham. Wouldn't that be crazy? We could use one at the intersection of Prince, Clifton, & Center Sts. Or one of the other many intersections that don't actually match up.
Hey all. My name is Kassi and me and my husband greg_kennedy
moved to the area last summer. We are currently expecting our first child (a girl) in May. I'm 26 and my husband is 23. Because of the pregnancy excitement and since I work from home, it has been hard to make a lot of friends in the area. I'm looking forward to possibly making some connections through this site.
Also, in an attempt to find people in the area that are interested in my intrests, I've created this community:ar_knit_club
The goal of the community is possibly to get enough members together to have regular knitting club meetings in the area. I'd like to learn more about my newest hobby and I think I could also teach people what I know. If you're interested in it, I'd encourage you to join the community.
Last thing, I heard that PostSecret is going to be in Little Rock on Sunday, April the 22nd at the Arkansas Literary Festival on the riverwalk. Unfortunately there will not be a gallery, but Frank, the organizer of the postsecret blog will be there doing some sort of presentation and promoting their latest book. Just thought others in the area might be interested in that, too. : )

My name is Drew, and I've lived in Conway since c.1988. Right now I live with wife & kids on Independence - going on 90 days in the house and still not unpacked. After 3 moves in 3 yrs one would think we'd have this down by now.
Just wanted to say hi.
